Rose water is produced from rose oil after the distillation of the flowers of Rosa Damascena, our well-known rose.
High-quality rose water is made from specific wild roses; to produce one litre of rose water, 3,000 kg of rose petals are needed. Rose oil is the most expensive and most sought-after essential oil in the world. In late May to early June, the rose petals are harvested by hand at dawn, while they are still fresh, in order to preserve all their beneficial properties. It is the only one with more than 300 active ingredients.
Rose water is rich in flavonoids, antioxidants, tannins and essential vitamins such as A, C, D, E and B3.
