COSRX Salicylic Acid Daily Gently Cleanser is a cleansing foam specially designed for skin with breakouts and/or acne. Its composition contains Salicylic acid (0.5%) to remove impurities and make-up while exfoliating dead skin cells, removing blackheads and unclogging pores. The cleansing foam is very gentle and skin-friendly but at the same time very effective.
Salicylic acid is a BHA (beta hydroxy) and is therefore a chemical form of exfoliation. BHAs are oil soluble. They do not only work on the surface of the skin, but penetrate deeper and unclog the pores, removing dirt, dust and sebum. This is why BHAs are preferred for people with normal to oily and 'congested' skin. BHAs have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties and therefore can benefit those prone to redness and rosacea.
It also contains:
- Salix nigra (willow) bark extract: It naturally contains a substance that is related to salicylic acid, plus flavonoids and phenolic acids that have soothing and antiseptic properties.
- Betaine: An amino acid derived from sugar beets. It has protective, moisturizing properties and has a positive effect on the moisture balance of oils in the skin.
- Tea tree extract, known for its healing and antibacterial action. It also regulates the oiliness of the skin

Use
Wet your hands and face and pour 2cm of the foam on your hands. Create a rich lather and massage your face. Rinse well with lukewarm water.

Tips
- Start by using salicylic acid products 2 to 3 times a week. After that, you can if you want to increase its frequency as your skin adapts to the ingredient. It's normal for your skin to clear up when you first start with salicylic acid, as it helps improve the skin's cell turnover rate
- Very hot or cold water can damage your skin. We recommend cleaning with lukewarm water.
- Partial cleansing: cleanse along the T-zones, where your oiliness is concentrated. For relatively dry areas like your cheeks, cleanse lightly with mostly water rather than cleanser.
- When washing: avoid prolonged cleaning.
