Pure Starflower Oil 1000mg by Lamberts® is a high potency, high purity food supplement providing oil from Starflower seeds (Borago officinalis), naturally rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). GLA is a polyunsaturated omega-6 fatty acid and a precursor of prostaglandin PGE1, involved in a wide range of biological functions.
Although the body can synthesise GLA, endogenous production is often insufficient, making dietary intake necessary. For this reason, GLA is commonly recommended for women during menstruation and menopause.
