Licorice is traditionally used to aid digestion and help soothe the digestive tract. Peppermint oil helps maintain efficient digestion and can help with flatulence and abdominal cramps. Zinc contributes to the normal metabolism of acids, macronutrients, carbohydrates and fats. Carnosine is a dipeptide made up of the amino acids histidine and alanine and studies show that it has an antioxidant effect and can have a positive effect on the stomach.
