SOLGAR Advanced Antioxidant Formula is a particularly comprehensive antioxidant formula that includes various vitamins and minerals and helps minimise damage caused by free radicals.
Free radicals are produced by the body when we breathe, during the process of food digestion, when we exercise or even when we sleep. They appear naturally as they are created by emotional stress, ultraviolet light, radiation and environmental pollution. Free radicals damage the body by causing cell damage, reducing defences against disease and placing the body in a state of 'stress'.
To mitigate the effects of free radicals, balancing with antioxidants is essential. The most important antioxidants include: Beta-carotene, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Zinc, Selenium and components found in certain plants, such as Turmeric and Ginkgo biloba.
Antioxidants are taken through the consumption of healthy foods in a balanced diet, but supplementation may be necessary for maximum intake.
SOLGAR's special Advanced Antioxidant Formula combines vitamins C and E, with minerals such as Zinc, Selenium and Copper, all of which have strong antioxidant properties. To achieve a holistic approach, this formula includes many amino acids.
Many food-derived biocomponents were used to create this special formula, such as Green Tea, Red Wine and Pycnogenol (a registered trademark in the USA for products containing bark from the French maritime pine). Plant-derived antioxidants were also added for greater enhancement of the combination, using Ginkgo biloba, Spirulina and Milk Thistle. Solgar® Advanced Antioxidant Formula is suitable for strict vegetarians and is taken as 2 Vegetable Capsules daily, which contain vitamins and minerals, as well as amino acids.

Use
As a dietary supplement for adults, take 1-2 vegetable capsules daily, preferably with meals. Do not exceed the directions for use.
