Solgar®'s Folacin (Folic Acid) 800 µg dietary supplement, also known as Vitamin B9, contributes to various processes within the body, but is primarily known for supporting the development of maternal tissue during pregnancy. Folic acid is a supplement recommended for pregnant women and those trying to conceive. It can be found in various foods such as dark, green leafy vegetables, but to ensure adequate intake levels — particularly before and after conception — supplementation is recommended. Low folic acid levels have been shown to be a risk factor for the development of neural defects in the developing embryo. This important B-complex vitamin regulates healthy homocysteine levels, while also contributing to the maintenance of energy levels and general wellbeing.

Use
