Sterile Sodium Hyaluronate Solution 60mg/6ml

Suplasyn consists of sterile sodium hyaluronate solution.

Indicated in the symptomatic treatment of osteoarthritis.

It is administered intra-articularly within the joint space of the affected arthrosis (eg knee, hip, toe, ankle, thumb).

In osteoarthritis, the sodium hyaluronate present in the fluid inside the healthy joints (synovial fluid) is reduced and this loss alters the viscosity and elasticity properties of the fluid which affects its naturally absorbent and lubricating properties.

All of this leads to joint pain, stiffness and possibly greater susceptibility to tissue damage.

Inserting Suplasyn into the joint space will help to smooth the joint.

It has been shown to be beneficial in osteoarthritis for managing pain and improving the natural function of the joints.

USE

Your doctor will administrate you Suplasyn intra-articularly in the joint area of your affected arthrosis.

Each Suplasyn administration lasts only a few minutes and can be given by a doctor.

Usually, at the doctor's office, you will be asked to sit in a comfortable position.

PRECAUTIONS

After injection, some patients may experience a mild local reaction such as pain, heat, redness, and swelling.

If these symptoms occur, rest the affected joint and apply ice locally.

For most patients, the symptoms subside within a few days.
